Downtown Cape is always busy. Since it has grown and flourished, I have to schedule in all the events I want to attend. This weekend is one of the weekends where it seems I’ll spend most of my time downtown!
Starting Friday the 7th from 5-9, I have Pet’s Night Out at The Indie House with Mississippi Mutts as a part of #FirstFriday. I went to this event last year with my dog child, and he LOVED it! Pet’s Night Out is so well put together with tons of surprises for not only pets but also their humans. This year, you can enjoy products and services from Minglewood (beer!), Stephanie Goddard, Kuntz Pottery, Plush Salon (doggie nail painting), Skyview Animal Clinic (sno-cones), and the Indie House! Mississippi Mutts will also be giving away samples, door prizes, and dessert! Bring your fur baby, and check out all the fun! Here’s a photo of my Daniel smiling at this event last year!
Busy enough with the fur baby, afterward I better go clean up from all the outdoor fun! FawkesFest19 Pre Party is from 7 PM – 1 AM at Shakers on Main St! Featuring the bands, Odd Moses, The Yesterdays, Discrepancies, and finishing up the night is Once Rivals! This will be a great way to get ready for all of FawkesFest19 in August! Come on down, visit with friends, and listen to some rockin’ bands!
To top off my busy downtown weekend is of course, a fan favorite, the Cape Riverfront Market! You can’t pass up all the goodness of the market on Saturdays. With so many amazing options, you can never go wrong. I personally love to grab a smoothie from True Blends then grab a donut. Healthy medium right? Grab a bouquet of flowers, homemade treats, and fresh local lettuce – a must for yummy salad with Saturday dinner! Plus, you have to stop by Glass Gardens by Stacey for adorable succulents and plants. You can even build your own!
Support local businesses! Whatever you do, always remember that downtown has plenty of options for you throughout the week!
