Tunes at Twilight
Bring your friends and family to Ivers Square in Downtown Cape Girardeau for FREE Friday evening concerts.

Tunes at Twilight has been a downtown tradition now for almost 20 years, and is a favorite activity for many in our community. The event is as much about the wonderful music as it is about socializing with friends, family, neighbors and area community members in a relaxing, beautiful outdoor setting. Some bring lawn chairs, others bring blankets. Some bring chips, and some bring full on cheese platters. It's all about coming together for an hour while listening to some great music.

Dr Hoffman

"This event reminds me of who we are as a community. I really feel like I'm living in a great town when I go to Tunes. It's so relaxed, people are friendly and clearly having fun, and I always see folks I know. The setting with the historic courthouse and band stand, the magnificent trees and cool breezes, all combine to make the Tunes experience one that refreshes my soul at the end of a long week."

Stacy Dohogne Lane

"Sitting outside, listening to music, enjoying a snack and visiting with the folks I run into is one of my favorite ways to spend a Friday evening in the spring and fall. It's one of those 'only in Cape Girardeau' events that makes me proud of our community and the amazing things we have going on here."

-Stacy Dohogne-Lane

Margaret Waterman

"Tunes at Twilight is one of my favorite things. Being with a community of people of all ages, enjoying a picnic supper, great music and the cool breezes even on the hottest evenings. There's a peacefulness to Tunes that is hard to capture in words. It is, perhaps, a friendlier time, a sweeter place than what we have every day."

-Dr. Margaret Waterman
