Holiday Ornaments

The Old Town Cape Holiday Ornament series was originally created by Judith Anne Lang in 1996 as a fundraiser for the Downtown Merchant’s Association. The very first ornament displayed the Common Pleas Courthouse and Clock, two distinct structures within our downtown landscape. When the Association merged to create Old Town Cape, Inc. in 1999, the fundraiser was transferred to us and has been a product of the organization ever since.

These ornaments continue to serve as a fundraiser for Old Town Cape and profits made help us in our efforts to revitalize Downtown Cape Girardeau and create a great place to live, work, and play!

Since their inception, the ornaments have become a holiday favorite of many within our community and far beyond. Ornaments can be shipped anywhere within the US for an additional cost, and we have many buyers from across the country who purchase them each year. We take great pride in choosing and releasing the newest ornament every year and enjoy seeing the excitement that is shared by one-time buyers and collectors alike.

We are pleased to be able to work with Hestia Creations of Marblehead, MA to get them drafted, designed, and distributed every year. They do a fantastic job perfectly crafting the ornaments in a way that truly shows the beauty and spirit of our downtown.

Past ornaments can be purchased from Old Town Cape, Inc. at any time during the year or at many of our downtown shops. The cost is $25 per ornament, or you can purchase one with a display stand for $30. Extra stands are available for $5 a piece.

Check out all of our past ornaments in the slide show below. If you see any you like, please contact us by clicking the “Contact Us to Order” button at the bottom of the page.
