Tell us a little about yourself! Or how would you describe yourself?

I’m a 30 something mom of 2 with a college degree. I enjoy reading, hiking, and cooking in my free time. I’m a girly girl who loves pink & all things sparkly.

What’s your idea of happiness?

Ice cream, spending alone time with my husband or myself (see above, mother of 2), nature

How are you connected to Downtown Cape Girardeau?

I work, shop, eat, & play here & ALMOST sort of live in the area.

What do you love about our community?

I love that we are a small town but not too small. I grew up on a town of 1,500, so Cape is perfect for me. There is a lot to do, but it is close enough to travel to larger areas such as STL, Memphis and Paducah.

What would you like to see added or improved downtown?

A river play area would be fantastic, I’d LOVE if the shops were open on Sunday afternoons or Friday & Saturday evenings as that is when I have time to shop. More “family friendly” things because we love to do things with our kids & you are looked down upon if you take a child into a bar.

What’s your motto?

There’s always tomorrow! Not sure if that’s a good one or not but it’s pretty much how I roll.

Besides Downtown Cape, where’s your favorite place to be?

Our city’s parks/hiking trails. I love spending time outdoors with our kids.

What is one thing most people don’t know about you?

I’m allergic to Kiwi & I LOVE to dance, even if I’m not that great.
