Head downtown for the annual Parade of Lights beginning at dusk. The parade begins at the intersection of Broadway Street and West End Boulevard (Capaha Park entrance), continues East down Broadway toward the river, then turns right onto Main Street, and will end at 43 S. Main (Hutson’s Big Sandy Furniture parking lot). The theme for 2023 is "There’s Gnome Place Like Home for the Holidays"

The Annual Downtown Holiday Open House is a family-friendly event, which includes pictures with Santa by Luxe Magnolia Photography, located by the Christmas tree at Vasterling Suites, children’s activities in Santa’s Workshop, also next to the Christmas Tree at Vasterling Suites, and horse-drawn carriage rides by Hileman Carriage Service starting at the corner of Main and Independence Streets. Santa's Workshop includes our very own conductor, Michael from Discovery Playhouse, who will be on site providing a magic key activity and Logan Chapman will be providing us with live holiday music Spanish Street lot at 35 S. Spanish.

Enter to win by scanning the QR codes at a business within each of the six sectors listed in the Downtown Guide: Arts & Attractions, Retail, Dining & Nightlife, Services, Worship, and Lodging. Participating businesses will be listed on our Facebook event page. Two winners for the $500 shopping spree will be drawn, and winners can split the $500 between multiple downtown businesses.
