Head downtown for the annual Parade of Lights beginning at dusk. The parade begins at the intersection of Broadway Street and West End Boulevard (Capaha Park entrance), continues East down Broadway toward the river, then turns right onto Main Street, and will end at 43 S. Main (Hutson’s Big Sandy Furniture parking lot).
The Annual Downtown Holiday Open House is a family-friendly event, which includes pictures with Santa, children’s activities in Santa’s Workshop, and horse-drawn carriage rides. Participating businesses will be decorated and waiting for you with holiday merchandise, in-store deals, and special events!
For an entire week, downtown holiday shoppers can enter to win one of the two $500 downtown shopping sprees, courtesy of Old Town Cape. Enter to win by scanning the QR codes at a business within each of the six sectors listed in the Downtown Guide: Arts & Attractions, Retail, Dining & Nightlife, Services, Worship, and Lodging. Gain another entry by spending $250 within the Old Town Cape district during this event week. Receipts must be brought by the Old Town Cape office or emailed to email@example.com for proof of purchase. Two winners for the $500 shopping spree will be drawn, and winners can split the $500 between multiple downtown businesses.
The Old Town Cape Holiday Bazaar features vendors that offer locally grown, handcrafted, and homemade products such as winter produce, baked goods, candies, and artisan crafts. Guests can expect to find their favorite Cape Riverfront Market vendors, as well as new seasonal vendors. While you are shopping, be sure to get your photo with the Grinch.
